hello, darling.
I learned another new word this week.
{petrichor}
and it's actually English, which is nice, although it derives it's meaning from Greek words & mythology.
The word Petrichor means "the scent of rain on dry earth".
so I guess I can't complain about the English language not having words for all beautiful things like this anymore.
today is rainy.
it's a good day to learn the word Petrichor.
...
breakfast at tiffany's inspired drawing that I did today - because lets face it, we all love Audrey Hepburn. This was so much fun to draw!
"The human heart is a scary part, in fact. 'Cause I could break you and you could break me back. Though my head says just forget it, you'll get hurt and you'll regret it, ask me now and I won't hesitate.
So many cards that never leave the deck, well there comes a time when you have to place your bets. I've never been a gambling man, but if you want to see my hand, ask me now and I won't hesitate.
'Cause I'm fearful of heights and you take me higher.
What came with you was a view to admire. I've always been the kind to contemplate, but you like the kind that don't hesitate.
I thought about it long and hard today, I realized I'm standing in our way. Usually my judgment's better, but with your blue eyes, hey whatever.
Excuse me while I fall for you."
-Hesitate by Steve Moakler
I love this song. You've got to listen to it. I love Steve Moakler.
It's been a lovely day!
until we meet again.
