Favorite songs of the week // "Marry me" by Train and "Don't Miss it" by Francesca Battistelli

Crafting this week // still making baby hats & booties for the Pregnancy Crisis Center and RCSFL.

Books I finished reading this week & my thoughts // "Agenda 21" by Glenn Beck. Fantastic book. It was so well written that I couldn't put it down. Although the possible realities in this book were a little scary, it was still fantastic. I strongly suggest that you should read it!

Reading this week // "Lessons from Madame Chic" by Jennifer L. Scott; "The Return of the King" by J.R.R Tolkien; "Dracula" by Bram Stoker.

Favorite quote of the week // "Wherever you are, be all there." -Jim Elliot

and the inevitable favorite pictures of the week //

It has been a lovely week.
I've been trying to sort out my time. I have so many different activities and things I want to do, that it really is hard scheduling them all. I'm trying harder to actually 'pencil' everything into my calender on my iPad, so that I actually keep up with my time.
I'm also trying to cut out things that consume my time and keep me from doing productive things. So I'm taking a well thought out break from Facebook. I'll still be checking messages, because I do so much business on Facebook, but I will not be posting or checking my news feed. I don't know how long this break will last, but I need it.

I learned something new this week,
a German word, actually:

{Waldeinsamkiet
it means - "the feeling of being alone in the woods".
I'm trying to figure out why the English language does not have a word for this. I guess that means I need to learn more foreign languages.

"She smelled like cinnamon and winter clove, and sparked like firewood inside a stove. Wanted to ask her just to sit and stay, instead he watched as she walked away.

We hate the rain when it fills up our shoes, but how we love when it washes our cars. We love to love when it fills up the room, but when it leaves, oh, we're cursing the stars."

  1. Did I mention how very proud I am of you? You are simply amazing. Keep working on those things, and always remember that you will ever be a work in progress, and it is beautiful progress.
