there is something so satisfying about eating vegetables that you've picked from plants that you've grown. Especially tomatoes. Right now we just have the odd tomato coming in off the vine. Soon they will be coming in by the dozen.
Our family planted 64 tomato plants in total. We planted them at different times so that they wouldn't all come in at once. But soon, very soon, I should have enough tomatoes to make a batch of salsa or sun-dried tomatoes.
This makes me so happy.

Mmm...I *love* tomatoes. Hopefully we {meaning my sister, our gardener} will plant some next year. It's a good idea to stagger their planting!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it wouldn't be very fun if 64 plants worth of tomatoes all came in at once.. we wouldn't get any sleep at night for trying to can things!! lol
