Fireworks and Freedom

I have written a more political post on the 4th of July at my other blog. If you're interested in reading it, here's the link.

"I thank my lucky stars, to be living here today, 'Cause the flag still stands for freedom, and they can't take that away! I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free. I won't forget the men who died and gave that right to me. I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today, 'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land. God Bless the USA!

-Lee Greenwood, "God Bless the USA

on the fourth of July we stayed up late. ate a meal that came solely from our garden. went to a fireworks show with my family. my sister came into town and spent the night. we played with sparklers. we celebrated freedom. because that's what Fourth of July is about.
