It's Monday...

It's Monday, and a few parts of this day were just really monday. (<-- I used that as an adjective there.)


Like that time when 10 rows of my knitted scarf came out. Or that time when the tree service had to come and take down our beautiful tree because of the wind storm this weekend. Or that time when I turned the water on, waited for the sink to fill up, walked away, came back and realized the plug wasn't in. Or that time when I used conditioner instead of shampoo on my hair by accident (it wasn't pretty...) Or that time when I smashed my finger in my closet door.


Those, among other larger things that I'd rather not mention, were the things that really made today monday. Rather than dwelling (longer) on the other annoying problems that I've had today, I thought I'd highlight a few of the good ones.


Like...

• that time when Mom came home from the store with my favorite type of cheese <3
• or when She made hummus for supper
• or when I got to see my best friends
• or when I spent quality time with my brother today
• or when I made my brother eggs for breakfast, and they were DOUBLE yolked
• or when I had a delicious cup of mint tea
• or like right now when I'm about to settle down, knit and watch an episode of Merlin with my Mom and brother.

Lord, help me to count it all joy when I meet with all kinds of problems. Help me to remember how blessed I am, when all I want to do is be stressed. Amen.
