"Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second."
{-Marc Riboud}
all pictures are of my niece Gracie. She's precious.
I've redesigned my blog.
What do you think?
This quote and these pictures are the reason behind the new design.
I took a blog break through most of December and January. I needed to refocus my photography. I had to ask myself a few serious questions;
why am I a photographer? why do I blog? why do I take pictures at all? what style am I aiming for?
I've answered most of those questions.
why am I a photographer? I enjoy being behind a camera. I love the way that I can see something, something that I can't explain in words, but I can share in a photograph.
why do I blog? I blog to share. I like to share my pictures. I like to share quotes. I blog because it inspires me further in my photography. I like to blog because I can connect with some seriously fantastic people. We get to share our adventures and stories with each other, from all around the globe.
why do I take pictures at all? refer to the quote at the start of this post. I take pictures to capture a moment in time. Once a second has happened, it's over. It will never happen again. I don't want to loose those moments, and I don't want to entrust all of the little details to my mind, because sometimes I forget. Pictures are a way for me to remember. To capture the simple pleasures that make life wonderful. For me, taking pictures is 'Savoring life intensely'.
what style am I aiming for? I like lifestyle photography. It falls into the category of capturing little moments. The pictures are always so subtle, yet vibrant. Like real life.
Eventually, I would like to shift my business focus to Senior Photography & Lifestyle photography, but this early on I think it would be an unwise business venture.
For now, Palindrome Studios will remain the same, and that's okay!
