The Ordinary Small Gifts

“The whole of the life -- even the hard -- is made up of the minute parts, and if I miss the infinitesimals, I miss the whole. These are new language lessons, and I live them out. There is a way to live the big of giving thanks in all things. It is this: to give thanks in this one small thing. The moments will add up.”
-Anne Voskamp

It was full of those simple little pleasures.

blinking lights that are wrapped around porches, warm bread that my mom makes, books.

candles that flicker in the cozy evenings, carols, christmastime.

eating leftovers for a week, ears to hear pretty music, my brother elijah, embers from the bonfir

my niece faith, friends that make life beautiful.

  2. I just love this. These are the things that we all should be thankful for. The little things in life, from the lights on a christmas tree to being with family on thanksgiving.
