Autumn Splendor

These pictures were taken at the Blue Ridge Parkway (VA) today with my family. 

the above pictures are taken at a cute little country store in the BRP. It's a fall tradition, and I finally took a few pictures of the inside.

 and then we had our picnic and it was lovely. 

and then I made my sister pose for photos  uh, my sister volunteered to pose for pictures.

and we took a walk down a trail (part of the Appalachian hike trail) that lead us to a cow pasture on the side of a mountain, and had an amazing view.

and then my brother climbed up the rock I was standing on, and I took that photo, that I think is pretty awesome.

and then there was a barbed wire fence. I simply couldn't pass it up.

isn't that quote sweet? what a lovely way of looking at Autumn.

Today was just perfect. Yesterday was perfect. What a perfect weekend.
