9/9/12

I can feel it in the air...

It feels like fall today.
Almost. I could still wear shorts, but it felt so close to fall that it counted.
My family and I took several walks today, because you could just feel the beauty in the air.
I picked up a gorgeous leaf that had fallen on the ground. It was still green, but the tips burst into a brown and orange flame. I brought it home, but it curled around the edges.

I would have taken a picture, in fact, I would have taken several pictures this week, but I've been sadly blog-post-less this week. I do have real reasons not to be blogging though, shameful as they are. School started on Monday, and then I got a new job that started Friday. My most exciting reason is, however, I have a new lens coming in the mail. I ordered it early last week, but it doesn't arrive until Wednesday. So I have been sadly unmotivated in the photography department.

I'm really excited about the new lens though, this is my first prime, and my first f/1.8 too. So I'm really excited for the changes that this will bring to my photography (and to my blog!)

In the meantime, I'll leave you with this picture that I took about a month ago when the butterflies were crazy everywhere!
