“As the years pass, I am coming more and more to understand that it is the common, everyday blessings of our common everyday lives for which we should be particularly grateful. They are the things that fill our lives with comfort and our hearts with gladness -- just the pure air to breathe and the strength to breath it; just warmth and shelter and home folks; just plain food that gives us strength; the bright sunshine on a cold day; and a cool breeze when the day is warm.”
-Laura Ingalls Wilder
I'm working on a new blog design. The last one was nice, but I felt like it just didn't capture the simplicity that I wanted to convey.
Be expecting more aesthetic changes in the near future.
until we meet again,

{p.s, the photo is of stone ground yellow grits that we bought at the local mill. I ate them for breakfast this morning, yummy!}
That quote is so true and so applicable, and your photo goes along with it perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI like your header! The font is lovely.
Love,
Emily.
p.s. I just sent you a letter today, finally. *sheepish smile*
Thanks Emily! :) I like the font, but I'm not pleased with the layout at all. It's a work in progress! The problem is that I am just not a designer ;)
DeleteI can't wait to get the letter :D
Great picture...it really speaks to the beauty found in our everyday blessings.
