October

Me too! Today was so perfectly October. 

There was a light drizzle falling all day, 

there was a cool breeze blowing the curtains in my bedroom.

The leaves on the trees are still alive, but their edges have already burst into orange flames that will soon eat their way up to the top of the leaves.

A pot of chili was simmering on the stove-top all day,

and I never had to take my sweater off.

I spent the larger part of the day sitting at my desk, doing schoolwork and cross-stitching.

The air was crisp and wet at the same time (the kind of weather that only Autumn can bring).

And I finally got to don a pair of knee high socks, and I took all of the fall boots off the shelf.

Yes, today was perfectly October.
